Broad dark letters alternate with pinched sections, sudden notches, and off-kilter joins, recalling quickly assembled hand-cut poster lettering rather than tidy typesetting.
Live music posters and scrappy event flyers benefit from its loud mismatched forms, and the same playful construction can shift comfortably into children's packaging and game graphics because the uneven shapes already resemble pasted artwork. On merchandise, the irregular edges can become part of a collage or torn-paper illustration rather than simply labeling it.
